Godstowe is an independent day and boarding school for girls aged three to 13, with boys in the pre-prep. What sets the school apart is its non-selective entry policy. The children who join do not need to sit an entrance exam, and yet Godstowe consistently achieves unrivalled academic results. Half of Year 8 girls left the School with a Scholarship in 2007.

Yet Godstowe is not an academic ‘hot-house’. Girls and boys are happy and confident, polite and considerate. It is through innovative teaching ideas, a young and dynamic staff and first-rate grounds and facilities that children thrive and succeed.

Every week over 50 ‘Enrichment Curriculum’ activities are available to try inclusive of fees. Children gain confidence on the 40-foot indoor climbing wall or during a fencing match, which spills over into the classroom. They can let off steam racing remote-controlled cars, relax in yoga or expand their minds in philosophy club. Supervised homework sessions are also available, as well as a supper and breakfast club.
